enaxos.export - Data export components
for .NET
|
What it is ?
enaxos.export is a set of components for NET 1.1 and
2.0 making possible to export data to many usual formats
without any programming.
In which language, for which languages?
The components library is written in C # and is supplied as
a compiled NET assembly (DLL).
As any library of this type it is compatible with all the languages of the platform
which respect CTS and CLI.
NET 1.1 version is thus compatible with C #, VB.net,
Delphi.net, etc. .NET 2.0 version is compatible with languages
supporting .NET 2.0 which is unfortunately not yet the case of Delphi.net (but
Chrome is ok).
Which IDE ?
NET 2.0 version can be installed under Visual Studio 2005
and "Express" versions.
NET 1.1 version can be installed under Visual Studio 2003, Delphi 2005,
Delphi 2006 (only for C# and Delphi.net personalities).
The framework 1.1 version was a stage of the development cycle, next versions
(and in particular the final one) will be delivered only under NET 2.0. This
can change according to what users will say. That's why we're inviting you to
transmit your wishes on this point and about evolutions of this product (use
the contact page to send a message
to us).
How does it work ?
Really simple. As any component installed in the tools box you just have to
place the export engine of your choice on the form you're designing and then
to parameterize it via the object inspector. EN-Export can be used for
both Windows Forms and ASP.NET. Eleven engines
are provided meeting the most current needs like XML, HTML, RTF, SYLK, CSV,
etc. The engines have of common set of properties with some others adapted to
their task. For example the HTML export component makes it possible to customize
used colors whereas the RTF export component has properties making it possible
to change the margins. Once the component is parameterized connect it to a data
source (a Dataset) then select the fields to be exported and finally call the
Execute() method. That's all.

tour page.
Is it really free ?
Yes and not. Currently we're freely distributing a completely functional
RC 1.0 version of the assembly. By offering this preview we wish you
discovering the product and to have a return from users to improve it so the
final version will be the best as possible. We do not like the idea to make
you pay to be a beta tester as so much editors do... It seems to us more equitable
to enable you to use this free version which certainly has still some imperfections.
In the future, when we'll be satisfied of the product it will join our catalogue
and will become a commercial product. Get the free version now cause it will
be no more downloadable when the final one will be released !
Something important : it is really fully functional, no nag screen,
no file size limitation nor anything else of this kind.

Conditions of use
The current licence enables you to use the component library freely, without
any limitation nor royalties. You must keep in mind that it is not a finalized
version, just RC 1.0, and there still perhaps remains dysfunctions of which
we could not be held responsible directly or indirectly. You will also note
that no support is offered at this time, even if, or course, we remain very
attentive with your remarks or debug reports. You can deploy it for tests, and
if you use it in a production environment you'll accept all the risks. On the
other hand you do not have the right to distribute the product by any way but
you can deploy it with your compiled projects. If one of your friends is interested
he/she must come here to download the product on our site (what is not constraining
considering nothing is required not even an e-mail). Being a RC 1.0 which can
present imperfections we do not wish that it falls into the hands of users who
would not be warned of this fact, quite simply not to let them believe that
we sell products presenting possible defects, which you will understand easily.
The last condition of use relates to the copyright which you must place in your
applications using the DLL. You must indicate : the name and the version of
the DLL as well as the fact that it is a pre-release and the address of our
Web site. This will be generally displayed on the "about" page of
your software. If all those terms are not clear for your or if you reject at
least one of them, we do not give you the right to use this product.
